Wall hanging artwork brings a new dimension to a room. This enlargement of a painting called Life’s a Beach is printed on canvas material and used for Jacqueline’s iconic deckchair design, is now available as a piece of wall art. The print has two loops and hung on a pole.
Artwork- Life’s a Beach - a painting from Jacqueline's Beside the Seaside series
The piece depicts a beach from an unusual perspective, the tidal scene is depicted in portrait and from a bird's eye view. Divided in half by the shoreline, the painting features the full panoramic stretch of the beach, where the sand meets the sea , in a loose brushwork, painterly style, with finely detailed studies of people spending a day beside the seaside, stretching along the coast, as far as the eye can see. Although the scene could almost be any beach, the view is to the east of Brighton beach in England, looking towards the Marina, rather than the more typical view of the burnt wreckage of the West Pier.
Whenever this sought after painting has been exhibited it receives a great deal of interest from buyers, however the artist retains ownership whilst the offers increase. The painting is set for further exposure since being reproduced onto the canvas sling of a deckchair. The ‘Life’s a Beach Deckchair’ has been photographed by The Wall Street Journal in New York and is due to feature in The Telegraph’s magazine ‘Stella’ on 17th July 2011.
