This shade comes fully assembled and attaches safely and securely to any standard ceiling pendant cable with other configurations possible. It’s a simple process and instructions are included. No additional light fittings are required. There are no openings in the light shade structure making it a pleasingly glare-free lighting option.

Alternatively, to create a contemporary feature verging on modern art, Elektra can be placed on the floor used as a freestanding lamp by using a switched 2 metre cable with plug and bulb at either end. Just add this as an option in the drop down menu. Most of the pictures show the large version which is ideal for rooms with high ceilings.

Crafted from 120 pieces of polypropylene plastic that fit together to form the dodecahedron shape, these cool lamp shades comprise of five faces between the top and bottom. When switched on the light emits an ambient glow as the shades structure blocks any glare from the bare bulb.

To install, the shade self-grips and hangs from a standard ceiling rose pendant cable and lampholder.

Bulb Advice – use an energy saving bulb with a maximum of 40 watts. The brightness is measured in lumens, so a 12W CFL bulb or 10W LED bulb should suffice as they are as equivalent to a 60 watt (incandescent) old type of bulb in brightness (700+ lumens)
When positioned correctly, the bulb should be in the centre and the light cable comes through a circular rosette of 5 flaps, where the components join and the structure firmly grips the cable at an appropriate distance between the ceiling and lampholder/bulb.
