Colourful Cuban streets are brought to life in this atmospheric series of paintings by fine artist Jacqueline Hammond. The atmosphere comes from their simple subject matter – rather than focusing in on the beach or the exotic landscape, we see a car in the road; a man, from behind, riding down a sunny street on his motorbike – just little painterly snapshots of life that are more evocative of life on the Caribbean island than any traditional beach image could be.
